This ambitious eight-month build-only project comprised the conversion of a standalone building housing a legal office into a fully-operational animal hospital. Space planning made provision for operating theatres, CT scanner equipment, and ultrasound and radiology facilities. The reception and consultation rooms utilised an old courtyard that was infilled to increase usable space. Installations also included fully integrated building services with medical gas installations, bespoke joinery and site works and external landscaping. The project was completed on time, allowing VSA to vacate their Mt Albert hospital in December and open on 16 January as planned.
